Mountain Wildflower Tours

We will guide you on a breathtaking tour through the best wildflower meadows and berry patches, past an abandoned silver mine and to the most spectacular view points of the Okanagan Valley and Monashees. Starts with a scenic chairlift ride. Featuring the unique wildflowers, wildlife, geology, ecology and history of the mountain. We get to view lots of wildlife and mountain activities, chat about the mountain's nature & history and changing environment, enjoy the spectacular views and refreshing subalpine air.

Bears & Berries Tour

Discover amazing facts about Black Bears and their habitats on a fun and adventurous hike along mountain trails. Try some of their favorite foods!

All About Bears: Thursdays - Saturdays at 10:30am until noon

Summer Group Tours

The  Mountain Wildflower, Bears & Berries,  Ghosts of Silver Star and Mountain Birding Tours are available for groups by request.  We can custom design tours to meet your groups interests and needs. 

We've got lots of experience in ESL, non-English and special needs tours.

Groups of families, friends, clubs or other organizations can book tours on request.

Bus tours are welcome with advance booking.

Discover the Wild Side of Silver Star

Display and Presentation:
Every Thursday at Noon
Just show up at the Silver Star Village for this free presentation.

Come meet Mountain Naturalist and Tour Guide, Roseanne Van Ee in the village plaza with a display. You can find out about bears, wildflowers, gold mining era and lots more that you'll experience on the tours. Kids can get their picture taken wearing a bearskin suit.

Mountain Birding

We have a pre-breakfast birding tour that will put a song in your heart. We will share insights into the lives of sub-alpine birds: White-crowned Sparrows, Mountain Chickadees, Cross-bills, Whiskey-jacks, Stellar Jays, Ravens, and more!

Ghosts of Silver Star
